Last week, we hosted our biggest and most dynamic Define Tomorrow event ever! With over 200 attendees from across the globe, including speakers from Ireland, Scotland, and even the US, it was a spectacular gathering that buzzed with excitement and innovation. It was an incredible chance for IT leaders and managers to connect, exchange ideas, and shape their IT strategies for the coming year.
The day kicked off with a bang with our keynote speaker, Apay Obang-Oway, who dived deep into the future of technology at Microsoft and how they are empowering clients on their unique tech journeys. His insights set the perfect tone for a day filled with learning and inspiration.
Throughout the day we focused on three transformative topics:

AI: Stepping into the next tech revolution, we unpacked how AI is reshaping the landscape for organisations far and wide.
Joy Apple, a Microsoft MVP, delivered a fantastic presentation on preparing organisations for AI, covering everything from user readiness to crafting a solid AI strategy. Our expert panel discussed the strategic approaches to AI, common pitfalls to avoid, and the critical role AI plays in organisational success. They shared key insights on integrating AI seamlessly into daily operations, ensuring that every attendee left with actionable knowledge to elevate their organisation’s tech agenda.

Hybrid Cloud: With many organisations steadily making their way to the cloud, we explored the latest trends and changes driving these migrations.
We were fortunate to have Mark Mulvany, a seasoned expert, deliver an insightful presentation on Hybrid Cloud. He introduced technologies like Azure Local as essential stepping stones in the cloud journey and even showcased live demonstrations, making the complex seem simple.
The discussions also extended to cloud management, particularly focusing on device management through technologies like Intune. Our expert speakers shared their best strategies for managing devices efficiently and securing organisational data, providing attendees with practical advice to enhance their cloud security posture.

Security: As digital threats continue to evolve, cybersecurity remains a pivotal topic at any tech event.
Our sessions were packed with demonstrations and discussions, highlighting innovative approaches to enhance security frameworks. Ian Heptinstall from Druva led a fantastic session on how backup technology should integrate into broader security strategies and outlined the features of next-generation backup services.
Instead of a traditional keynote on security, we mixed things up with a live security simulation. We created a cyber incident scenario, and attendees were tasked with strategising the best ways to avoid or mitigate the impact. This interactive session brought the threats to life, offering deep insights into better management and prevention strategies.

The day culminated with a keynote from Jo Salter, Britain’s first female fighter pilot, who shared her remarkable journey and the obstacles she overcame. Her story was not only inspiring but also thought-provoking, drawing parallels between her aviation career and her current role in technology, emphasising the need for transformative thinking.
These thought-provoking sessions were crafted to assist organisations in planning and prioritising their IT strategies for the next 12-18 months, ensuring they stay ahead of the curve.
Our expo hall was a hub of activity, filled with our key partners eager to assist organisations in whatever area resonated with them. From Dell’s expertise in hybrid cloud solutions, Microsoft’s pioneering AI capabilities with Copilot, to Druva’s robust security and backup solutions and Orchestry’s efficient organisation and orchestration tools, there was a wealth of knowledge and support available for every attendee.
Think of Kascade as your guide through the complex terrain of modern IT—much like a Sherpa guiding climbers on Everest or NASA supporting astronauts in space. Whether through collaboration with clients and partners or our managed services, we are dedicated to providing the support you need to develop a secure and efficient modern workspace.
And don’t just hear it from us, here are just a few comments given from the event:
- “Great event – really opened my eyes on a few topics.”
- “Fantastic event as always – lots to learn and lots to take away.”
